Am I Eligible?

The eligibility criteria for Covid vaccinations change each year

For 2025, the eligibility criteria is:

  • Individuals aged 75 years and over or 7th birthday before 31/01/2025
  • Residents in a care home for older adults
  • Persons aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed (children vaccinations need to be ordered separately so please email us on budbrookemedicalcentre@nhs.net)

If you feel you are eligible but have not been contacted by the surgery, it might be that you do not fall into the criteria this year, but please do check the above link.

You are also able to book via the NHS App, please ensure you have been invited and are eligible for the vaccination you are booking

Flu Vaccinations Autumn 2025

Am I Eligible?

From 1 September 2025 to:

  • Pregnant women,
  • All children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025,
  • Primary school aged children (from Reception to Year 6),
  • Secondary school aged children (from Year 7 to Year 11),
  • Children in risk groups (as defined by the Influenza chapter of the Green Book)
  • Following a clinical assessment, a small number of other adults may be eligible from early vaccination, e.g. for those due to commence immunosuppressive treatment, (such as chemotherapy).

From 1 October 2025 to:

  • Those aged 65 years and over, (including those due to turn 65 years on or before 31 March 2026)
  • Those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
  • Those in long-stay residential care homes
  • Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person,
  • Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals,
  • Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme

Appointments start from September 15th for children having nasal flu vaccinations and pregnant women
