Welcome to Budbrooke Medical Centre
SERVICES DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
During the COVID-19 Pandemic we ask patients to reduce their footfall into the surgery and not request repeat prescriptions in person.
1) Repeat prescriptions
Could patients please request repeat prescriptions online using our online services here https://app.patientaccess.com/login
2) Registering for online services
Please click here to register for online services https://app.patientaccess.com/registration/create
Please make sure you use your OWN email address (not one shared with anyone else including your partner/spouse) and the one already registered with the practice on your patient record. This will allow us to speed up your registration
3) Viewing your own records via online patient access
We can also authorise you to view your own records via patient access, you will need photo ID and use the email address registered on your patient notes. Please email Lisa.firstname.lastname@example.org with all enquiries or request of support.
We are currently authorising patient access by digital proof of ID rather than in person as is usually required. Please send a screenshot/photo/scan of a piece of photo ID such as passport or drivers' license to email@example.com
4) When to phone the surgery for repeat prescriptions?
Please refrain from phoning the surgery as much as possible. Please use online services as your first port of call and if not then email (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please leave the phone available for those without internet access or the ability to use online services to order prescriptions etc. These patients are usually the older, more vulnerable patients who may be hardest hit by the Pandemic.
5) Are you isolating due to yours or another household member's symptoms and not able to pick up prescriptions? Do you require a volunteer to deliver it to you?
If you are currently isolating due to yours a household member's symptoms such as cough and/or temperature, and are unable to pick up your prescription (or ask anyone else to on your behalf) please email the dispensary (email@example.com) or call us on 01926 403881 to arrange for a volunteer to deliver this to you. We are working with a team of local volunteers who are willing and able to deliver medications when needed due to self-isolation. Please email your consent allowing the volunteer to pick up the prescription on your behalf along with the fact you are self-isolating due to symptoms. Can you also put a note on your door to say that you are isolating due to symptoms allowing the volunteer to simply leave them at your doorstep after ringing your bell to protect them as much as possible from infection. The team of volunteers are currently working in Hatton, Hampton-on-the-Hill and Hampton Magna. We are trying to extend the network to other villages at the moment.
6) Social distancing for those aged 70+ years or considered high risk
The Government announced on Monday 16th March that social distancing will need to be practised by those considered high risk or over the age of 70 years old to protect them as much as possible from catching Covid-19. This mandate was stark and will be for a significant period of time. We have teamed up with St Michael's Church and have a group of volunteers wanting (and waiting) to help the local community as much as possible during this time to make sure that although you need to curtail your activities, seeing friends and family, and staying home for a while you are not alone. They can pick up and deliver essential food items, prescription medicines etc.
Please do contact the surgery to find out more with regards to prescription deliveries (firstname.lastname@example.org) or the Church Office (01926 407020) or Rev David Brown (07971 843746 or email email@example.com)
7) We will continue to review as the situation evolves and mobilise appropriately. We will continue to let you know via the website and Facebook keeping you informed of any changes immediately.
8) Do you meet the criteria for the extremely vulnerable shielding group? If so please do read the FAQs. If you haven't received a letter and feel you do meet the criteria please also read this document for further clarification. https://www.england.nhs.uk/coronavirus/wp-content/uploads/sites/52/2020/03/20200402-FAQs-Patients-vFINAL.pdf
