Appointments

Routine appointments

There are several ways to get the correct appointment with the right clinician,  depending on what the issue is. We have a range of medical professionals offering specialist services at the practice. This includes;

  • General Practitioners
  • Nurses, that are trained in triage and minor illnesses
  • Health Care Assistant
  • Clinical Pharmacist
  • Advanced Physiotherapist
  • Social Prescriber
  • Mind Practitioner
  • Community Link Worker
  • Community Teams – where we can refer to these teams

Appointments will be offered as face-to-face appointments (Our preferred method of seeing patients), telephone appointments, video consultations & e-consultations. The choice is the patients and can indicate what they prefer.

A vast majority of our nursing clinics will be bookable as face-to-face appointments as they mostly require a procedure such as a blood test or vaccination for example.

Appointments are available throughout the day during our opening hours and can be booked online, by telephone or in-person at the reception, up to several weeks in advance. We have a strong clinical team that are dedicated and strive to provide continuity in care, we therefore suggest if you have a preferred clinician that you request them by name.

Our Online Consultation service will let you request advice, treatment, sick notes, GP letters, recent test results and more. Fill out a quick online form and we will deal with your request before the end of the next working day.

Call the Practice

Appointments can be booked by calling the practice during working hours.

Save the call to the surgery and make the best use of pharmacy and online consultations, if your concern is of a non-urgent nature.

Urgent Appointments

The practice operates a ‘duty doctor’ system to ensure we always have adequate capacity to deal with patients who are acutely unwell and require medical attention the same day. These appointments cannot be booked online. Please call our reception team during normal opening hours.

Cancelling your appointment

Please make every effort to keep your appointment. If you are unable to make it, please cancel it as soon as possible, using one of the methods below, so that it can be reallocated to another patient in need. Your help will avoid a significant waste of NHS resources and is much appreciated.

Alternatively, you can follow the instructions on your appointment reminder text and reply, to cancel an appointment.

Home Visits

Home visits are available to those who are housebound or terminally ill, within the catchment area.

If you require an urgent home visit, please call the practice as early in the day as possible. It is helpful if you can indicate the nature and urgency of your call to the receptionist. We do not offer home visits in the afternoon.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

To book, please call 01926 403 800
